ICIMOD photo exhibition in Chiba

The latest in the ongoing series of ICIMOD Photo Exhibition ‘Himalaya – Changing Landscapes’ was held at Chiba city in Japan from 17 to 19 September 2013.

The Exhibition, held at ‘Qi-ball’ building close to Narita Tokyo International Airport, featured exciting pictures of the Himalayas with the primary goal of letting visitors know about the threat of global warming in the region.

More than 1,000 people visited the Exhibition and over 300 eager audiences discussed the issue of global warming. The event was organized with assistance from the Japanese Alpine Club Chiba Branch. 

The series of exhibition began in 2011 and has so far moved to 10 major cities of Japan attracting huge crowds. The exhibitions are held under the overall coordination of Mr Ken Ichiro Noda, a member of the Himalaya Adventure Trust – Japan (HAT-J)

The final exhibitions are planned in Nagoya city and Hokkaido University in Sapporo.
