Dr Bishwa Nath Oli 

Dr Bishwa Nath Oli is currently working as Secretary at Ministry of Population and Environment, Government of Nepal. Dr. Oli received his PhD in Forest Governance from the University of Copenhagen, Denmark.

Dr. Oli has rich experience in the forestry sector of Nepal. He has served in different capacities under the Ministry of Forests and Soil Conservation, Government of Nepal. He worked as Forest Research Officer at the Department of Forest Research and Survey, and as Regional Forest Director at mid-western Nepal, as Division Chief of the Ministry of Forests and Soil Conservation. Dr. Oli has also served as the Director General of the Department of Forests during 2013-2014.

Dr. Oli has worked as a Council Member to the Asia-Pacific Forestry Network for Sustainable Forest Management (APFNet), and as a National Focal Point to the Convention on Biological Diversity in 2013. Since 2016, he has worked as a National Focal Point to the Convention on United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change. 

Dr. Oli has published more than two dozen research papers in national and international journals.
