Dr Himangana Gupta 

Dr Himangana Gupta is an expert in climate change and biodiversity policy and diplomacy. In her present job, she is coordinating with scientists and climate experts to compile the Biennial Update Reports and Third National Communication to the UNFCCC. She is a doctorate in environment science with specialisation in climate change and biodiversity policy and was a University Gold medallist in M Sc. Gupta has written research papers in reputed international and national journals on current state of climate negotiations, forestry, industrial efficiency, rural livelihoods and women in climate change mitigation and adaptation. 

In her previous job, Gupta was associated with the State of the Environment Reports for Madhya Pradesh and Sikkim. She has done surveys and conducted village-level meetings of women self-help groups and has linked the outcomes of women's activities to Sustainable Development Goals. Gupta loves undertaking dynamic activities that includes travelling to places in search of the unknown. Besides, she does find time to play sitar and sing when nothing else is interesting.
