Jony Mainaly

Jony Mainaly is lawyer based in Kathmandu. Mainaly concentrates her research and practice in environmental law, human rights law, and climate change and gender. She currently works as a Thematic Lead for Gender and Marginalized Groups (GESI) Working Group in the National Adaptation Plan (NAP) formulation process. Mainaly also teaches environmental law at Kathmandu School of Law.  

Mainaly also serves as a member of Environmental Law Committee of Nepal Bar Association. She has been awarded with an International Climate Champion Award from the British Council Nepal, 2010. She has earned Fulbright Scholarship and LL.M degree with Environmental Law Certificate from the Duke University School of Law. Earlier she completed her LL.B. from Kathmandu School of Law, Purbanchal University.
