Merina Ranjit

Merina Ranjit is the Chief Operating Officer of Chaudhary Foundation, social development initiative of Nepal’s leading conglomerate Chaudhary Group (CG). She also heads CG-Nepal Social Business (NSB), a non-dividend distributing company to promote social business in Nepal, another major social initiative of the group. Ranjit had key role for incubation of social business pilot projects of CGNSB at Jumla from March 2013- Dec 2014. A graduate in Environmental Management, from the National University of Singapore, Ranjit holds many feathers to her cap: She is a certified Environmental Management System (ISO 14001:2004) Lead Auditor (2010) and also Lead Auditor for Quality Management System(ISO 9001:2008). Ranjit has worked as Business Development Consultant and Environment Consultant for various development projects, and acted as visiting lecturer in prestigious educational institutions of the country. She was also part of consultancy team for the development for climate budget coding by National Planning Commission in 2012. As an Environmental Scientist, she had worked (2007-11) with the Engineering and Environment Consultancy, CH2MHILL Pte Ltd, Singapore where she worked in various environmental projects in Asia Pacific Region.
