ResilientHKH: Call for Volunteers!

Sign up as a volunteer and create lasting connections at the Resilient Hindu Kush Himalaya: Developing Solutions towards a Sustainable Future for Asia, an international conference set to take place from 3–6 December 2017!

The conference will bring over 200 experts from all round the world. Network with other conference attendees, speakers, and sponsors, while contributing to the success of this international event. 

The organizing team is looking for volunteers to assist with conference registration, hospitality, digital outreach, poster showcase, and an innovations display session.

Conference Registration Volunteers
As a conference registration volunteer, you will welcome conference attendees and help them with registration. Registration volunteers will also assist with check-in, distribute materials, and answer questions while providing support to conference attendees.

Logistics Volunteers
As a logistics volunteer, you will assist the conference logistics team by welcoming and ushering guests, guiding participants from their hotels to the conference venue, and ensuring that all participants are accounted for during arrival and departure to the venue and back. Volunteers assist during tea breaks and meal times and provide any assistance participants may need.

Poster and Innovations Display Session Volunteers
Poster and innovation display session volunteers will assist with the set-up of the session area, direct session attendees, and distribute handouts and session materials. 

Digital Outreach Volunteers
As a digital outreach volunteer, you will assist the conference team with maximizing digital outreach for the conference. 

When in doubt, all volunteers can refer queries to the conference organizers.

Volunteer perks
As a volunteer, you will have access to the conference venue and be able to attend sessions of interest. 

There is no additional cost for volunteering. 

Selected volunteers will receive a modest per diem and a commendation for their contribution to the conference. 

How to apply
The conference can only entertain volunteers who are available in person in Kathmandu during the conference dates. 

Volunteer positions will be accepted on a first come, first served basis. 

Send in a short bio, a recent photograph, two references, and resume to Samita Sharma at by 5 November 2017. Selected volunteers will undergo a short orientation process ahead of the conference and can expect to be engaged up to a maximum of seven days, beginning from 1 December 2017.
