Tor H Aase

Professor, University of Bergen

Tor H Aase holds a PhD in social Anthropology and is presently Professor of Geography at University of Bergen and affiliated Senior Researcher at Centre International for Climate and Environmental Research Oslo (CICERO). He has carried out extensive research on topics related to natural resources during the last 30 years in Pakistan (agriculture, hydroelectricity), India (fisheries, agriculture) and Nepal (agriculture, forestry). Lately, he participated in the Himalayan Climate Change Adaptation Programme (HICAP) managed by the International Centre for Integrated Mountain Development (ICIMOD). Results of this work were published in a book edited by Aase, Climate Change and the Future of Himalayan Farming published by Oxford University Press (2017).
