Request For Proposal (RFP) for Trekking Agency Service

The International Centre for Integrated Mountain Development (ICIMOD), as part of its Atmosphere and Cryosphere Programme, carries out fieldwork at high altitudes, installing and maintaining meteorological and hydrological instruments, and conducting glaciological measurements in Nepal. The field expeditions are generally carried out in April/May and October/November every year, but can be organized in other months as well. The potential field sites are glaciers and their surroundings in Langtang Valley, Lower Mustang, and Khumbu region, all in Nepal.

ICIMOD is issuing a request for proposal (RFP) to invite registered and qualified trekking agents in Nepal to bid for the rights to facilitate ICIMOD field expeditions to the aforementioned sites for a period of two years under a framework agreement. Other details and the proposal submission procedure are outlined in the RFP document, available from ICIMOD upon payment of NPR 2,000 (non-refundable) from 2–4 pm on work days.

The filled in RFP should include technical and financial offers in two separate sealed envelopes which should be packaged and sealed in one outer envelope, addressed to ICIMOD, Khumaltar, Lalitpur and marked as ‘RFP for trekking agency service’. The completed RFP should be submitted to the ICIMOD Procurement Office by 28 July 2017, 4 pm.

ICIMOD reserves the right to accept or reject any or all RFP offers without giving any reason whatsoever.
