Meeting
River Basins and Cryosphere, Indus Basin
New Conference Hall, ICIMOD, Kathmandu
26 August 2019 to 27 August 2019
The regional Upper Indus Basin Network (UIBN), which was formed to address the knowledge and research gaps in the Hindu Kush Himalaya, is now operational in all four basin member countries: Afghanistan, China, India, and Pakistan. A neutral, science-based platform, the UIBN also has a governance framework approved by a regional strategic committee (RSC). The 11-member committee is set to meet in August 2019 to take stock of the progress of country chapters and further define a strategic direction for the UIBN.
