Paris COP21 Journalist Workshop: Understanding the COP Process

The Climate News Network, an online news agency which specializes in conveying the latest news on climate science in clear and concise language, will be organising a three day workshop for journalists ahead of the UNFCCC COP21 in Paris, France.  The workshop, which will be held in English, is designed primarily for journalists from the developing world who might be attending a Conference of Parties (COP) for the first time. It will take place at the offices of the International New York Times in central Paris and at the COP21 Press Centre at Le Bourget.

Topics covered will include:

• The latest science and the two degree target
• ‘Following the money’
• Looking for stories
• Navigating the COP maze

The workshop is being supported by the Open University, GRID-Arendal, International Centre for Integrated Mountain Development and the international New York Times.
