ICIMOD-China Country Consultation

The ICIMOD-China Country Consultation is organised in close cooperation with and support from the Chinese Academy of Sciences, with the following key objectives:

• to provide a platform for exchange and mutual learning on past cooperation between ICIMOD and the national partners with special regard to programme implementation under ICIMOD’s current Third Medium Term Action Plan (MTAP III, 2013-17);
• to identify key national priorities from the Government of China and ICIMOD’s national partners in order to guide the planning of the next MTAP (2018-22); and
• to jointly explore further potential for regional cooperation, especially against the background of the global Agenda 2030 for Sustainable Development and new emerging financial mechanisms like the Green Climate Fund (GCF) and the Adaptation Fund (AF).

The consultation aims to take stock of the ongoing collaboration as part of ICIMOD’s current MTAP III and to integrate key national and regional priorities in the formulation of the next MTAP IV.
