Q:

How do you protect the pulse of the planet?

A:

I believe that the pulse is protected when people can make sense of changes happening in their environment. From our Knowledge Management and Communication Unit, we help people to make sense of the HKH environments by connecting different users to our scientific work, by communicating science through breaking down technical and scientific jargon for more understanding among non-scientific audiences, by constantly communicating about the region’s challenges and ICIMOD’s work to address those challenges using the latest communication tools and platforms.

Q:

What is your favorite part of the work you do at ICIMOD?

A:

Working in an organisation that delves deeply into both research and development is a good way to keep informed about the critical environmental issues, relevant policies and solutions to support decision making in the region. Also, ICIMOD brings together a diverse group of people working towards a common goal of achieving sustainable development, which makes it a vibrant place to learn, grow and share.

Q:

What are you passionate about?

A:

I am passionate about doing as little harm as possible to our environment, and leaving behind an intact planet for the next generation to enjoy.

Q:

My qualifications

A:
