I am passionate about traveling and exploring new places. Traveling is a spiritual experience. You can also call me a food lover!!

I have been with ICIMOD since I was a graduate student pursuing my M.Sc. at the Central Department of Environmental Sciences, Tribhuvan University, Nepal. I was awarded an M.Sc. research scholarship through the HI-AWARE Initiative.

Prior to joining the Ecosystems Theme, I was a Research Associate – Water Resource and DRR with the hydro-climate group within the Water and Air Theme and with the Koshi Basin Initiative. Although ecosystem and disaster have always been my primary topics of interest, I am also actively involved in a wide range of studies –  the effective use of micro- hydroelectricity at the household level, adaptive water governance in Himalayan towns, climate change-induced climate stressors and critical moments affecting livelihoods, gender differentiated vulnerability, and migration in different parts of Nepal. Prior to joining ICIMOD, I worked as a consultant in landslide hazard modelling and risk assessment projects, and as a Research Associate at the National Institute of Natural Sciences, Nepal, where I was involved in the study of different ethnomedical plants.

I have presented my work in national and international conferences. I was also a part of the The Integrated Research on Disaster Risk (IRDR) Young Scientist Programme in China.
