Q:

How do you protect the pulse of the planet?

A:

I protect the pulse of the planet through my small conscious actions like reducing energy use at my home and in the office and using solar power as much as possible, recycling whatever is recyclable, reducing the use of paper, using less plastic and not wasting water.

What is your favorite part of the work you do at ICIMOD?

A:

I enjoy working with a diverse group of professionals. Working at ICIMOD has helped me broaden my knowledge of different social and ecological problems that persist in our region and how we can find solutions to those problems.

What are you passionate about?

A:

I am still trying to figure out my real passion. But at the moment, I am passionate about exploring my potential. I love learning new skills and reading books related to mindfulness. I enjoy travelling and meeting new people and exploring their cultures.

My qualifications

A:

I hold an MBA with a focus in human resource management and project management. I have 8 years of experience in operations and management part of which was in the role of administrative assistant at the American Mission Association. As a management professional, I enjoy ensuring that things run smoothly by effectively implementing and administering programme strategies, and following and adapting organisational processes and procedures to ensure that my programme reaches its set objective.
