Govinda Shrestha is a Senior Programme Associate for Stimulating Action for Clean Air. He is responsible for administrative and logistics support to the Intervention ‘Reducing Air Pollution by Creative Use of Pelletization’.

Govinda has worked for ICIMOD for more than two decades, including as Senior Programme Associate for the Koshi River Basin Programme.

How do you protect the pulse of the planet?

A:

I protect the pulse of the planet by helping the efforts that protect the mountain environment and improve the lives and livelihood of mountain people.

A:

I feel privileged to be working with such supportive colleagues from diverse cultures.

I am passionate about gaining new knowledge and travelling.

My qualifications

A:

I joined ICIMOD in 1995 in as a Junior Assistant Secretary for the Mountain Natural Resources Division. Priort to that, I worked for 13 years as an Administrative Assistant at the Agriculture Training Centre, Department of Agriculture, Government of Nepal with the Manpower Development Agriculture Project (GTZ). I hold a bachelor’s degree in humanities and social science from Tribhuvan University and a graduate certificate in Japanese language from the College of International Languages, Tribhuvan University.
