Training
The International Centre for Integrated Mountain Development (ICIMOD) will be conducting a weeklong training on geodetic glacier mass balance monitoring (GMBM) for its implementing partner in Bhutan, the National Center for Hydrology and Meteorology (NCHM). This is a part of a capacity-building effort under the Cryosphere Monitoring Programme-Bhutan (CMP-B) project. Training will include theoretical lectures on GMBM and hands-on exercises using remote sensing and in-situ data.

09 April 2018 to 13 April 2018
Begun in 2015, CMP-B is a collaboration between ICIMOD and NCHM to implement long-term cryosphere monitoring and data collection in Bhutan. CMP-B has also enhanced the competence of national partners through trainings on both remote sensing and field-based data collection.
The event will be held from 9 to 13 April 2018 at ICIMOD, Kathmandu, Nepal. Participation is invitation-only.
