70% Complete

An inventory of carbon monitoring plots was conducted in May 2012 to establish a mechanism for long-term monitoring of forest carbon stock. This was done to establish permanent plots and monitor forest carbon, and assess changes in forest carbon stock in different vegetation types with various silviculture treatments. Visitors can have hands-on experience applying carbon monitoring techniques, test ground-based and RS/GIS techniques, and compare carbon data obtained from these two techniques.
