Students' Conservation Conference and Exhibition

Celebrating World Environment Day embracing the theme- 'Forests: Nature at Your Service'

Venue

Kathmandu, Nepal

Date & Time

05 June 2011 to 07 June 2011

Background

Each Year, Nepal develops a young cadre of conservation graduates from its different universities. However, there is often a limited opportunity for the students to share their research findings and experiences among the larger audiences, and promote their ideas. In this context, National Trust for Nature Conservation (NTNC) together with the partner organizations is going to organize three days Students’ Conservation Conference and Exhibition. The Students’ Conservation Conference is going to be the first conservation conference aimed entirely at the students.

Objectives

  • To provide a platform for students, fresh graduates and young scientists to communicate their research findings at the national and international level.
  • To create opportunities for the students, fresh graduates and young scientists to build contacts and develop scientific research networks.
  • To build awareness on the field of environmental conservation through display of innovative ideas.
