Nisheeth Basnet is a Programme Associate for ICIMOD’s work on Transforming Livelihoods and Economies.

He liaises with partner organisations and other stakeholders to support the implementation of ICIMOD’s initiatives and facilitate communication and knowledge sharing. His roles involve coordinating with partners, managing contracts, and initiating financial disbursements. He also handles event management, ensuring events run smoothly and provide effective platforms for knowledge exchange and collaboration.

Previously, he spent three years working within ICIMOD’s Strategic Planning, Monitoring, Evaluation, and Learning (SPMEL) unit.

Nisheeth holds a bachelor’s degree in International Relations from the University of Warsaw, Poland.
