ICIMOD in collaboration with member countries and development partners has launched the #HKH2Glasgow campaign to promote ambitious climate action in the Hindu Kush Himalaya (HKH) region. The campaign aims to:
The campaign supports stakeholders from ICIMOD’s eight regional member countries (RMCs) to develop targeted knowledge products, prepare regional submissions to the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (UNFCCC), and participate in regional and international events to promote ambitious climate action for the HKH.

The campaign strengthens regional cooperation to address transboundary climate risks and leverage opportunities to deliver action at scale and with speed. This will enable RMCs to put in place the building blocks for mountain communities to transition into a green, resilient, and inclusive development world by 2030. The #HKH2Glasgow campaign will amplify mountain voices to promote ambitious climate action globally and in the HKH. The campaign is supported by three work packages – evidence, policy engagement, and strategic communication and engagement – and is based on three pillars: message, messenger and medium.
