China contributes core support to ICIMOD and the Chinese Academy of Sciences (CAS) is the designated nodal agency.

The incumbent Vice President of CAS formally represents in the ICIMOD Board of Governors. China and ICIMOD have been working together in the areas of capacity building, institutional strengthening, internships, research and demonstration, and regional and international workshops and conferences, among other activities.

ICIMOD`s partner institutions in China include government agencies, development agencies, academic and research institutions, universities, NGOs and private sector.

国际山地综合发展中心（ICIMOD，以下简称“国际山地中心”）是一个政府间的知识与学习中心，旨在为兴都库什(喜马拉雅（the Hindu Kush Himalaya，以下简称“HKH”）地区的人民谋求福祉。国际山地中心的总部位于尼泊尔加德满都，在八个区域成员国开展工作，包括：阿富汗、孟加拉国、不丹王国、中国、印度、缅甸、尼泊尔、巴基斯坦。

Use science-based knowledge on air quality, atmospheric processes and climate to shape policies and actions leading to air pollution mitigation.

Mountain Environment Regional Information System (MENRIS)

Enable use of information and knowledge for policies and practices through support from a regional information system in the HKH region.
