Bangladesh Centre for Advanced Studies (BCAS), a HI-AWARE partner in Bangladesh is going to organize the third Climate Change Adaptation Policy & Science (CCAPS) conference. The conference will be held on February 6, 2017 at the Hotel Sarina. CCAPS conference is a series of events held annually by the research project “Himalayan Adaptation, Water and Resilience (HI-AWARE) research on Glacier and Snowpack Dependent River Basins for Improving Livelihoods”.
The objective of the conference is to build a platform for adaptation and resilience research in the Hindu-Kush Himalayan (HKH) region and will create synergies with actions currently conducted or proposed by government, development agencies and actors. The conference will facilitate exchange of knowledge and ideas on science, policy and good practices related to climate change adaptation (CCA), water resources and development challenges in HKH region. It will bring together researchers, policy-makers and stakeholders working on CCA in Bangladesh and South Asia.
