Celebrating International Women’s Day 2019

International Women's Day (IWD) is celebrated globally on 8 March every year to appreciate the remarkable contribution of women to our society. This day is dedicated to honouring the life, grit, and determination of women. This year’s international theme is “Balance for Better” – an appeal for a gender-balanced world – and the theme chosen by ICIMOD is “Men for Gender Equality in the HKH”. As in the past, ICIMOD will be celebrating this important day by organizing various programmes in-house on Friday, 8 March 2019.
