Background

The Resilient Mountain Solutions (RMS) Initiative is a five-year programme (2018–2022) under ICIMOD’s Regional Programme on Adaptation and Resilience Building, funded by the governments of Norway and Sweden. The RMS Initiative promotes a range of simple, affordable, replicable, and context-specific solutions that have proven effective in the Hindu Kush Himalaya.

ICIMOD, jointly with CEAPRED is piloting the RMS Initiative in Kavre District, Nepal, in collaboration with local municipalities. Hon. Dag Inge Ulstein, Minister of International Development, Norway, and his team will visit Radhakrishna Farmers’ Group at Chaurangefedi in Namobuddha Municipality. The team will observe ongoing field activities and hear from the farmers about their experiences.
