The Bangladesh Centre for Advance Studies (BCAS) is organizing a HI-AWARE stakeholders consultation workshop in Rangpur, Bangladesh on January 07, 2016 under the “Himalayan Adaptation, Water and Resilience (HI-AWARE) Research on Glacier and Snowpack Dependent River Basins for Improving Livelihoods”.
The workshop is a part of HI-AWARE’s stakeholder engagement strategy to put ‘research into use’ (RiU) with a focus on the Teesta floodplains in Bangladesh.
The objectives of the workshop are:
The workshop will bring together around 40 local level participants, including representatives from government agencies, local governments, community organizations, local NGOs and academic organizations.
