The side event aims to find new ways how science can be utilized to help and support regional collaboration. A high-level panel of researchers and policy makers will discuss the challenges and opportunities facing the two regions and the role of assessments in fostering regional collaboration. Through the knowledge café method, the session will provide an opportunity for speakers and participants to engage in dialogue and the co-creation of actions and recommendations for sustainable futures in these two climate change hotspots.
