Seven female professional staff and 12 male support staff participated bringing varied perspectives crucial in such training. Consultant and experienced trainer Pranay Rai, conducted the training.
The workshop’s aim was to promote an understanding of gender politics to create a more inclusive, accepting, diverse, interesting and productive workplace. Workshop content included understanding of social norms, one’s own identity and translations and interpretations of gender. ICIMOD policy on gender, inclusion and equal opportunity was also covered along with questions on processes, challenges and opportunities.
