Request for Expression of Interest for Translation of ICIMOD Documents

1 min Read

70% Complete
Translation is a vital service that the International Centre for Integrated Mountain Development (ICIMOD) requires regularly, and sometimes for a large number of documents within a short span of time. ICIMOD’s medium of official communication is English and most of its communication material, including its technical/scientific publications and general publications (flyers, posters, brochures, newspaper articles, web content and press releases), are prepared in English. Since ICIMOD works with eight countries in the HKH region, and each country has its own national language (Bangla, Burmese, Chinese, Dzongkha, Hindi, Nepali, Pashto/Dari, and Urdu) there is constant need for professional-level translation of document(s), often to tight deadlines.

ICIMOD invites expressions of interest (EoIs) from highly specialized translation service providers (companies) competent in their field and with relevant experience. Interested firms with a minimum of three years of experience are encouraged to submit their EoIs by providing the information requested below along with a cover letter, company profile, VAT/PAN certificate, and tax clearance certificate.

This EoI does not constitute a solicitation. ICIMOD does not require bids and proposals at this stage. A response to this request for EoI does not automatically ensure that you will be selected to participate in the tender process.

The EoI should be titled “Expression of Interest for translation services” and emailed to samuel.thomas@icimod.org, with mohan.shrestha@icimod.org cc’d, by 15 March 2019. Hard copies will not be received.

ICIMOD reserves the right to change or cancel the requirement at any time during the EoI and/or solicitation process without assigning any reason whatsoever. ICIMOD also reserves the right to require compliance with additional conditions as and when issuing the final tender document.
