Asad Uz Zaman

Asad Uz Zaman is a Human Resources Officer at ICIMOD, focusing on Human Resources and Talent Acquisition. He joined ICIMOD in 2024.

Asad has over ten years of experience working in human resources including as HR and Admin Manager for Save the Children International during the Turkey Earthquake Response, and as Coordinator – Talent Acquisition for Save the Children International in Cox’s Bazar, Bangladesh.

He is experienced working in emergency responses such as the Bangladesh Flood & Cyclone and the Rohingya Refugee Crisis. In his roles, he has developed HR policies and implemented Human Resource Information Systems (HRIS), enhancing HR operations and compliance – for instance, he led the implementation of Oracle Recruitment Cloud, an HRIS called EMPRESS, managed recruitment for over 4000 hires, and organized numerous training sessions and performance appraisals.

Asad holds a Master of Business Administration from Jahangirnagar University, Bangladesh.
