Bikram is a Geospatial Application Development Analyst for ICIMOD’s Innovation and Digital Technology unit.

He has worked for ICIMOD since 2015 contributing to the analysis, design, and development of spatial and non-spatial applications across desktop, web, and mobile platforms. With responsibilities extending to both front-end and back-end components, he has been instrumental to the creation of automation tools, server-side geoprocessing tools, and services to streamline the processes.

Bikram developed the Hindu Kush Himalaya Climate & Hydrology Portal, the National Rangelands Monitoring System of Afghanistan, and the National Landcover Monitoring System for Nepal and Afghanistan which serves as a crucial resource for researchers and policymakers. He also developed an Event Management System, streamlining ICIMOD’s activities. Additionally, he was instrumental in the development of the Koshi Basin Information System and the Indus Knowledge Partnership Platform.

Prior to his current role, Bikram led the development of desktop and web-based applications at NEST and Softwel. He pioneered a GIS-based hydropower project information system and crafted 3D Simulation Modules for Road Design Software.
