Pugazenthi Dhananjayan works as Energy Analyst at ICIMOD since 2021. He has over 12 years of experience with a range of organisations such as Integrated Research and Action for Development (IRADe), Ashden India Collective (Ashden UK), WWF India, and TERI School of Advanced Studies (TERI-SAS).

Pugazenthi has worked on various projects focusing on decentralised renewable energy, clean energy, climate resilience, and sustainable development.

As a consultant, he conducted the mid-term evaluation of the United Nations Industrial Development Organization (UNIDO) and the Global Environment Facility (GEF)-5 project, ‘Promoting Market Transformation for Energy Efficiency in MSMEs’, where he assessed the progress and effectiveness of energy efficiency initiatives within small and medium enterprises.

Pugazenthi holds a master’s degree in Renewable Energy Engineering and Management from TERI-SAS, New Delhi, and a bachelor’s degree in Mechanical and Energy Engineering from Vellore Institute of Technology, Vellore (India).
