How do you protect the pulse of the planet?
The pulse of a planet will only beat when the storage tank of the planet is full and when the people around the region are food secure. Therefore, I protect the pulse of the planet through my focus on crop monitoring and food security assessment in the region.
What is your favorite part of the work you do at ICIMOD?
The diversity we have in ICIMOD and the environment we share. I also enjoy working with the many different experts both within ICIMOD and among our partners.
What are you passionate about?
Learning new ideas and sharing them. Apart from that, I love adventure sports, music, traveling to new places and interacting with new people.
My qualifications
I hold an MSc in Geo-information Science and Earth observation from University of Twente, Netherlands and a B.Sc. in Environmental Science from Kathmandu University, Nepal.
