Springshed Management Research Associate Ecosystem and landscape restoration (SG2-AAD) Resilient mountain economies and landscapes (SG2)
Usha Ghimire is a Springshed Management Research Associate at ICIMOD since March 2024, contributing to the Strategic Group ‘Resilient Mountain Economies and Landscapes’.
Prior to this, she worked as consultant for ICIMOD, research associate at AIT’s Department of Civil and Infrastructure Engineering, and researcher at Nepal’s Water Resources Research and Development Centre (WRRDC). She also worked as an office engineer for the Bagmati River Basin Improvement Project (BRBIP) in Nepal, funded by ADB. Her main areas of interest are hydrological modelling, groundwater modelling, GIS and remote sensing-based studies, climate change analysis, and land use analysis.
Usha holds a Master of Engineering in Water Engineering and Management from the Asian Institute of Technology (AIT) in Bangkok, Thailand (2018-2020).
