Yogesh Barola

Yogesh Barola is a Hydrogeologist at ICIMOD working on regenerating and managing springsheds for multiple social and ecosystem benefits in the Hindu Kush Himalaya (HKH) region.

He has a strong passion for advancing the science of hydrogeology for mountain springs and information about groundwater as an invisible resource. He has experience scaling up interventions for natural resource management using tools and technology, in the context of rapidly changing climate and hydrogeological requirements, including the management of springsheds in the HKH using digital platforms.
