Yufang Su

Yufang Su heads ICIMOD’s Living Mountain Lab since 2023.

Yufang previously served as the Deputy Director of the Centre for Mountain Futures and Research Program Coordinator at the East and Central Asia Regional Office of the World Agroforestry (ICRAF).

She holds a Bachelor of Science in Geography from Shanghai Normal University, an Masters in Sustainable Development from Chiang Mai University in Thailand, and a doctorate from Mae Fah Luang University, Thailand.

She has published peer-reviewed journal articles, books, and working papers, extensively focusing on climate change adaptation, natural resources management, land tenure, and rural development.

Notably, her research often incorporates a gender perspective to enhance its depth and breadth.
